OUR STORY

Our Founder narrates:
I am a Banker. Many times my colleagues and I sit in office and desire to eat pepper kala. We would beg the cleaners to get pepper kala for us for a little tip. We couldn't imagine ourselves walking down the road side with our coat suits on to bend down and buy pepper kala. Sometimes the cleaners are busy and attend to us as and when they are free. However, most times the pepper kala is really not nice. Because they are sold so cheap, they are prepared very poorly.  We received them in some small plastic bag and the oil messes our desks and papers. Eating the kala was such hassle that I just got tired and totally stopped sending for it. However, every time I would crave for this African delicacy.

One day, I thought to myself, what if I can prepare pepper kala and other "street food" really nice and clean and package it so well to avoid people messing their desks, and then I can deliver this to people like me who sit in their offices or sit at home or wherever else, but can't imagine eating road side pepper kala, even though they desire it? This is where the inspiration came from.

I launched the idea, tested it by making a few sets of the pepper kala and it was bought by my colleagues at work. I then extended to other corporate offices around town, it was welcomed. A few days later, I opened the Facebook page and spread the word via Social Media. The result is what led to QuickQuick Eats and has us still here four months later.
